Isn't it annoying when people use expressions like "We'll see" or "I'll think about it" for something they want to put off?
I mostly mean you, mom. Why do you have so much trouble making up your mind? If you want to do something, why don’t you go ahead and do it? What’s there to “think about?”
You’ve been “thinking about” getting a swimsuit all summer long, and when you finally go to the store, you find that swimsuits have been relegated to the clearance racks to make way for fall fashions.
You see? I know fall won’t hit us for another four months, but procrastination has saddled you with a limited choice, and it’s a given that you won’t find a style you like.
Similarly, what’s there to “think about” when it comes to pampering yourself? Just walk into a nail salon already for a manicure-pedicure. You know you want to.
Granted, you don’t like to grow your finger nails because you end up slicing them when you chop vegetables, and your heels are so dry and cracked, you don’t want those east Asian women with soft hands to touch your feet, but you know you can’t paint your own nails to save your life - especially the ones on your right hand.
When you can make major life decisions - like whom to marry, what to study, when to have babies, what color to paint the house, etc. - without dithering and second guessing yourself, what makes you so indecisive when confronted with 31 ice cream flavors or a restaurant menu with more than two vegetarian choices?
And, why, for goodness’ sakes, do you always feel you should’ve ordered something else as soon as you dig in?

I think i would've been mightly glad that mom is the way she is. Imagine if it was the other way around... i.e. fast at picking her flavour of ice cream and choice of coffee.
Maltova, really? You like mom the way she is? That makes you one of two people who wouldn't change a thing about her (the other one being herself).
